The Town of Windsor is currently accepting applications for (2) full time and (4) part time police officers.
Successful candidates must meet the following minimum requirements: Be at least 21 years of age, possess a high school diploma with preference given to post-secondary education, some law enforcement or military experience or a combination of education, experience and acceptable out-ofstate training; no criminal history involving a felony arrest or crimes of moral turpitude.
The application process includes a written entrance examination as required by the Vermont Criminal Justice Training Council; physical agility test, MMPI (psychological screening), medical examination, oral board review, polygraph or voice stress and background investigation including criminal/motor vehicle/financial records checks. These are union bargaining unit positions.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
